Wellstar in Georgia is seeking Radiology Technologists for a PRN position. You will join a collaborative care team and support patient well-being, career growth, and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, applying ALARA principles, and using AIDET to communicate with patients. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficient workflow within a busy radiology department.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Experience preferred, not required.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography) and BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsabilités

• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust technique to maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders with two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS.
