Job summary

Wellstar Radiology is seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist to join a collaborative care team in Georgia. The role involves operating imaging equipment, maintaining ALARA standards, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout exams.

Ideal candidates have an accredited radiologic technology program and ARRT-R certification, with BLS active. This position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to contribute to quality patient care within Wellstar Health System.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification and BLS required.
• Experience with imaging procedures is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and competently, maintaining diagnostic quality at ALARA doses.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; assist with exam setup and post-care.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and document studies accurately in RIS/PACS.
