Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia seeks a Radiology Technologist (PRN) to perform diagnostic imaging with a patient-centered approach. You will operate imaging equipment, follow ALARA principles, maintain room cleanliness, and ensure safety and comfort for diverse patients in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork with a collaborative care team, accurate documentation in RIS/PACS, adherence to infection control, and readiness to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT-R (Radiography) certification and BLS.
• High School Diploma or equivalent plus completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and competently, maintaining diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers; explain procedures to patients and reduce anxiety.
• Document studies accurately in RIS/PACS; ensure correct finalization and transfers as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist with life-support equipment when required.
• Collaborate with technologists to ensure department workflow meets timeframes.
