Job summary

Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital is seeking a part-time PRN Radiology support role to perform basic diagnostic x-rays under supervision and assist in patient flow within the Radiology department. The position emphasizes safety, patient care, and flexibility to cover second shift and weekend needs.

Ideal candidates are senior radiography students or those with related medical imaging coursework, ready to assist in multiple modalities and uphold regulatory and safety standards in a busy clinical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostic x-rays supervised by a radiology technologist.
• Identify and assist patients with questions about procedures.
• Prepare patients for exam and ensure patient safety in the absence of the radiology technologist.
• Retrieve patient orders and requisitions in the RIS/EMR workflow.
• Assist physicians and technologists in diagnostic exams across modalities.
