Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist for its Surgery Center. You will provide imaging support for surgical, diagnostic, and interventional procedures, operating a variety of imaging equipment with emphasis on quality and safety.

You will collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative staff in a fast-paced environment. Prior OR/Cath Lab or procedural imaging experience is preferred and CPR/BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Current ARRT certification required.
• Current Illinois radiologic technologist licensure required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate fixed, mobile, and mini C-arms, portable x-ray, cabinet x-ray, and other imaging equipment used during surgical and post-operative procedures.
• Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while following radiation safety guidelines.
• Accurately process, label, transmit, and archive radiographic images.
• Maintain responsibility for imaging equipment, image quality, and radiation safety throughout procedures.
• Document patient care within applicable electronic medical record and procedural systems.
• Assist with preparation for surgical procedures, including Cath Lab procedures, as needed.
• Function as a monitor during diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other care team members to support safe and efficient procedures.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety, infection prevention, and organizational standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Surgery Center operations.
