Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (PRN) to operate radiographic equipment, exposure controls, and patient positioning to produce high-quality images for interpretation.

The role requires ARRT certification in radiography (or within 18 months of hire) and BLS. You will contribute to imaging services and support education for DUHS programs, with a focus on safety and patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification.
  • ARRT certification in radiography or pending within 18 months of hire.
  • BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Operate radiographic equipment to obtain radiographs of designated anatomical areas.
  • Adjust exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
  • Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
  • Position patients using support devices and protective equipment.
  • Assist physician with fluoroscopic and other radiographic procedures.
  • Process images for optimal quality and match paperwork for interpretation.
  • Provide orientation to new radiology technologists and education to DUHS programs.
