Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced or new graduate Radiologic Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team on a PRN basis. You will operate x-ray equipment, position patients, and assist with fluoroscopic procedures across OR, ED, and GI services, ensuring radiation safety and quality imaging.

ARRT certification and BLS are required; minimum two years' experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology or ARRT Certification.
Minimum two years of experience as a registered ARRT Radiologic Technologist strongly preferred.
ARRT certification and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body areas and adjust exposure factors per guidelines.
Explain procedures to patients and position them for each view with appropriate devices and protection.
Monitor equipment and assist physicians with fluoroscopic and special radiographic procedures.
Process images for quality and document appropriately for interpretation.
Match charges to procedures and ensure film quality meets standards.
Utilize the Image Archival System and support imaging workflows.
Provide education and orientation to new radiology staff and students.
Perform related duties as needed within radiology operations.
Support cross-department collaboration in OR, ER, and GI areas.
