Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures to produce images of internal body organs and bones.
• Explains procedures to patient, obtains medical history, and positions patient for optimal imaging results.
• Views images to assess quality and forwards for review and interpretation; maintains patient documentation.
• Maintains supplies and a clean work area; reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Advocates patient safety and comfort; complies with radiation protection practices.
