Job summary

Avera St Mary's Hospital is seeking a radiologic technologist to operate radiographic and CT equipment, generating clinically diagnostic images under physician direction. This flex staff role pays a elevated rate and requires teamwork across a multidisciplinary team.

You will perform radiology procedures with accuracy, notify radiologists of urgent findings, and ensure proper data entry for interpretation. ARRT certification and an associate degree are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's or certificate of completion from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 60 Days.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures accurately, efficiently and according to established standards and protocols.
• Initiates proper intervention to radiologist or referring practitioner when an exam requires attention.
• Reviews indications for exams and reports inappropriate indications to supervisor.
• Provides exam data in a complete, accurate format for radiologist interpretation.
• Utilizes PACS, RIS, HIS/EMR systems and performs general clerical duties.
• Archives image data for storage and sends images to radiologist group; retrieves stored images as needed.
