Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL, is seeking a Radiation Therapist (PRN, Day shift) to join the imaging team. You will evaluate prescribed imaging, verify treatment parameters, perform QA, and support education experiences for students.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Radiation Therapy, ARRT RT(T), and BLS, with 1+ year of experience preferred, and fluency in English. You will work within an ALARA-focused environment and use EHR systems daily.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiation Therapy (Required) or equivalent.
• Completion of accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Registered Technologist – Therapy (ARRT) (Required) and BLS (Required).
• 1+ year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prescribed imaging and document changes within 24 hours.
• Verify patient positioning, field orientation, and treatment parameters.
• Perform morning QA on treatment unit and report malfunctions.
• Assist in training students and supporting education experiences.
• Participate in after-hours on-call coverage as required.
• Verify daily prescription and treatment parameters to ensure accuracy.
• Identify treatment volume and position patients consistently.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Perform CT simulation including use of contrast under physician direction.
