Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant at Pleasant Valley in Derry, NH. Work with skilled nursing residents to rebuild mobility after illness, injury, or hospitalization, delivering treatment that connects PT goals with everyday movement.

This PRN role pays $35-$40 per hour, with coverage coordinated to facility needs and benefits from collaboration with the rehab leadership.

Qualifications

• Active NH Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
• Ability to follow individualized treatment plans and precautions.
• Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience in skilled nursing is helpful; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled interventions within the plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Guide residents through prescribed strengthening, balance, and endurance exercises.
• Assist with transfers, bed mobility, and walking as appropriate.
• Reinforce safe use of mobility devices and safety techniques.
• Monitor fatigue and performance, report changes to the supervising PT.
• Document treatment and resident responses for the therapy team.
