Job summary

Hireology in Texas is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team on a PRN basis. You will administer PT treatments, support the care plan under a Physical Therapist supervision, and help residents improve mobility, strength, and quality of life.

The role emphasizes thorough documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strong communication with patients, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license required.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience using Net Health Electronic Documentation System.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PTA services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Relay information and referrals to the PT to respond to service requests.
• Implement and modify care plans under PT supervision.
• Measure motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches with the care team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans.
• Ensure thorough, timely documentation compliant with policies and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
