Job summary

HealthMark Rehabilitation is seeking PRN Physical Therapist Assistants/PTA to evaluate and treat residents at Hewitt Rehabilitation & Wellness Center in Hewitt, Texas. The role collaborates with a large interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include implementing plans of care, documenting progress, and ensuring safety and infection control. Texas PTA license is required; prior geriatric rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas license/certification for PTA.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational and analytical skills required.
• Ability to function in multi-faceted systems and interact with all levels.
• Demonstrates time management and organization.
• Geriatric rehabilitation setting experience preferred.
• Successful completion of hiring process / background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services per physician orders and accepted professional practices.
• Develops an overall therapy plan of care with goals, duration and frequency, and discharge plan; follows guidelines.
• Performs skilled treatments according to the plan of care.
• Documents observations and patient progress within required timeframes.
• Completes billing accurately on the date of service per regulations.
• Maintains rehab gym and treatment areas with infection prevention measures.
