Job summary

Hays Medical Center seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join Lifepoint Rehabilitation in Kansas. Under supervision, you’ll provide therapy to help patients develop, recover and maintain mobility and function with compassionate care.

Requirements: associate degree/ PTA program graduate, active Kansas PTA license, BLS, and strong critical thinking. You’ll document progress, educate patients, and assist with discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or PTA program graduate required.
• Active Kansas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, provide PT services to develop, recover, and maintain mobility.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to therapy.
• Educate patient and family about deficits and home programs.
• Assist with discharge planning and adaptive equipment guidance.
