Job summary

Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital in Austin, TX seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for PRN coverage to support acute rehabilitation services.

The PTA provides established therapies under a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on restoring function and mobility for patients with complex neurological or orthopedic conditions. CPR-certified and licensed PTAs are preferred; experience in rehab or acute care is valued.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• CPR certification required.
• License: Current PTA license in the state of practice.
• Rehabilitation or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
• Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
