Job summary

Fair Oaks Recovery Center in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care on-site. You will supervise LPNs/CNAs and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care while ensuring safety and high standards of practice.

The role requires an active CA RN license, CPR and de-escalation/restraint certifications, and experience in behavioral health.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
One or more years’ nursing experience in clinical settings; behavioral health preferred.
Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
Valid RN license from CA; CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
Experience with documenting in medical records and inter-disciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

Assess physical and behavioral health needs; develop and implement nursing care plans.
Administer medications with two patient identifiers; monitor effects.
Transcribe and review provider orders; document accurately.
Notify providers of significant changes in status or lab results.
Provide education to clients and families on medications and care.
Complete admissions/discharges; ensure thorough hand-off reports and charting.
