Job summary

Correctional Healthcare Partners is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric care in correctional facilities. The role covers East Mesa and Youth Transition Campus, with PRN in-person work and a focus on compassionate, professional mental health services.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care while maintaining accurate records and educating patients

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment techniques and treatment modalities.
• Experience with correctionsal healthcare or similar environments is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for interactions with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations for patients in correctional settings.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Prescribe medications and monitor effectiveness while managing side effects.
• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
