Medical City Surgery Center Fort Worth, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN PreOp Registered Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center in Fort Worth, TX. You will plan, execute, and evaluate preoperative nursing care for patients, upholding HCA's values and delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

The role requires experience in PACU/ICU, an active RN license, BCLS and ACLS certifications, and a commitment to patient safety within a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a PACU or ICU setting; ambulatory surgery center preferred.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• Required valid BCLS Certification upon employment; online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare your patients’ care area adequately before case.
• Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies for your patients’ procedure.
• Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and evaluation of your patients’ history and diagnostic tests.
• Review your patients’ charts for completeness prior to surgery.
• Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed.
• Monitor your patients until transferred to the OR.
