Job summary

Central Utah Surgical Center is seeking a PreOp Registered Nurse (PRN) to join our ambulatory surgery team. You will plan, execute, and evaluate preoperative nursing care for each patient, upholding HCA Healthcare standards and delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Responsibilities include preparing the care area, ensuring equipment readiness, conducting assessments, reviewing charts, administering pre-op meds, and monitoring patients through the preoperative period before transfer to the

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher required.
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS Certification required at hire (online certification not acceptable).
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire; PALS if required by facility within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient care area before case.
• Ensure equipment and supplies available for procedure.
• Conduct complete physical and psychological assessment and review history/tests.
• Review patient charts for completeness prior to surgery.
• Administer pre-operative medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Monitor patient until transfer to the OR.
