Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent experience in a peri-operative environment.
• Registered Nurse in the State of Texas; License must remain active and unencumbered while employed.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS.
• Must complete additional educational requirements as assigned by due dates.

Responsibilities

• Admit and prepare patient for procedure and ensure post-op care planning.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to physicians/anesthesiologist.
• Maintain accurate documentation in medical records and HIPAA-compliant privacy.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and procedures.
• Ensure sterile environment, supplies, and equipment are ready.
• Complete physician orders promptly and coordinate with the team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety rules.
