Job summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital in Humble, TX seeks a PRN Registered Nurse for PreOp/PACU to join our team. Current Texas RN license required; two years perioperative experience preferred. Responsible for admitting patients, delivering nursing care, and developing patient-specific care plans in the perioperative setting.

You will document care, follow safety protocols, and educate patients and families while collaborating with the surgical team to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, active, unrestricted RN license issued by the State of Texas.
• Minimum 2 years recent peri-operative experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• Must complete required education by due dates.

Responsibilities

• Admit and prepare patients for scheduled procedures.
• Provide nursing care in pre-op and post-op PACU settings.
• Develop and follow individualized care plans.
• Document care accurately in medical records.
• Educate patients and families and ensure safety protocols.
