Job summary

Colquitt Regional Health System is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support our Senior Care services at Vereen Rehabilitation Center in Moultrie, GA. You will assist in implementing treatment plans under the Physical Therapist's supervision and help collect data on patient progress.

This PRN role includes cross-training in Acute and Home Health, with potential progression to full-time as needs grow. Strong communication and patient education are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or better in Physical Therapy.
• Previous PTA experience preferred.
• Current licensure as Physical Therapist Assistant.

Description

Colquitt Regional Health System is searching for a Physical Therapy Assistant to work in our Senior Care facility. Complies with and follows treatment program established by the Physical Therapist. Conducts objective clinical testing. Assists in gathering data during tests and measurements. Immediately reports all patient changes, unexpected responses, problems to the assigned Physical Therapist before modifying a treatment program.

Documents patient treatments performed daily including progress notes on inpatients and outpatients. Supervises supportive personnel. Gives direction to aides and volunteers who may be assisting in patient care. Provides patient and family education and gives instructions that are clear and complete.

This position will cross train in Acute and Home Health. Possible progression to full-time.
