Emerald Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehab team in Omaha, NE on a PRN basis. You will work with physical therapists and nursing staff to provide rehabilitation services tailored to residents, aiming to improve mobility and quality of life.

This role offers flexibility with scheduling and is ideal for those seeking as-needed work within a clinical healthcare setting. Prior SNF or rehab experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assisting required.
• Current state PTA licensure or certification required (New York mention in posting).
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing and modifying treatment plans.
• Collect and document patient data, progress notes, and response to therapy.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, equipment use, and home programs.
• Set up and maintain therapeutic equipment and assist devices used in therapy.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and staff to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Adhere to facility policies and safety, maintaining a clean therapy environment.
