Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our PRN team. Work at multiple centers in the Charleston, WV area, providing supportive therapy under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

You will verify patient information, implement treatment plans, educate the care team and families, and help patients regain mobility and independence. Our environment emphasizes continuity of care and work-life balance with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapy Assistant degree from an accredited program.
• Valid or pending State PTA license.

Responsibilities

• Verify client information by interviewing client; reviewing and recording medical history. Help clients improve mobility and independence and re-enter the labor force.
• Implement treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with the Physical Therapist; educate other team members and family; work across centers to serve diverse patient needs.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Verifies client information by interviewing client; reviewing and/or recording medical history; confirming purpose of treatment Helps clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, such as, helping injured workers improve their motor skills and re-enter the labor force, and teaching persons with learning disabilities live with increased independence to use public transportation and increase their mobility independence. Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with Physical Therapist, education of other members of team involved in the treatment plan and family members.
