Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Martinsburg Healthcare Center in Martinsburg, WV. This full-time role joins an in-house therapy team focused on resident well-being and mobility, with opportunities to serve across multiple centers in the CommuniCare family. A PTA license is required or pending.

You will support treatment plans, collaborate with the Physical Therapist, and help residents regain independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

• A PTA degree from an accredited program is required.
• Hold a valid or pending State PTA license.
• Experience supporting therapy plans and resident mobility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies client information by interviewing client
• Reviewing and/or recording medical history
• Helps clients improve quality of life by assisting with mobility and independence
• Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with PT
• Opportunity to work at multiple centers serving a wide variety of patient needs

Qualifications:

Job Responsibilities:

• Verifies client information by interviewing client
• reviewing and/or recording medical history
• confirming purpose of treatment Helps clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, such as, helping injured workers improve their motor skills and re-enter the labor force, and teaching persons with learning disabilities live with increased independence to use public transportation and increase their mobility independence.
• Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with Physical Therapist, education of other members of team involved in the treatment plan and family members.
