Job summary

Spearfish-Canyon-Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support resident rehabilitation in a skilled nursing setting. This PRN, in-person role focuses on evaluating residents, improving mobility, and guiding recovery with privacy and compassion. LICENSING: Current PTA license in SD; EXPERIENCE with geriatrics is a plus.

Daily Pay and free CEUs are available. You must complete orientation and clear health/TB screening within two weeks, then adhere to all relevant regulations and

Qualifications

  • Must hold current and active PTA license or registration in state employed.
  • Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
  • Completion of orientation required by company policy.
  • Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
  • Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
  • Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate a Resident’s condition and develop an appropriate physical rehabilitation plan.
  • Help Residents to improve their mobility.
  • Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
  • Inform Residents what they should anticipate in different stages of their recovery and how they will handle each situation.
  • Maintain Resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by protecting Residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
  • Contribute to inter-disciplinary team efforts in resident care.
