Job summary

Eduro Healthcare in Spearfish, SD is hiring a part-time/PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to evaluate residents, plan rehabilitation, and help geriatrics improve mobility. The role supports an inter-disciplinary team and emphasizes patient care, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance within a skilled nursing setting.

The position requires current PTA licensure, willingness to complete orientation, and adherence to infection-control policies; in-person work with a 30+ hour week benefit structure

Qualifications

• Must hold current PTA license or registration in state employed.
• Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
• Completion of orientation required by company policy.
• Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
• Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
• Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
• Benefits available for 30+ hours a work week.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a Resident’s condition and develop an appropriate physical rehabilitation plan.
• Help Residents to improve their mobility.
• Help Residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Inform Residents what they should anticipate in different stages of their recovery and how they will handle each situation.
• Maintain Resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by protecting Residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contribute to inter-disciplinary team efforts in resident care.
• Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
