Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN) to join our clinical team. You will deliver therapeutic exercises to help patients regain mobility and independence, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, while collaborating with nurses and other care team members.

This role emphasizes patient-focused care, education, and flexibility to support our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare across our communities.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida LPTA license
• BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of start
• AS or AAS degree in Physical Therapy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
• Work closely with PTs, nurses, aides and the care team to enhance patient experience and support excellence.
