Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants in Cromwell, CT is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN position at Autumn Lake at Cromwell. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility and independence.

This role offers $35–$40 per hour, flexible PRN scheduling, a collaborative rehabilitation team, and opportunities to expand clinical experience in short-term rehab and long‑term care.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
• New graduate PTAs welcome to apply.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with strengthening, balance, gait training, transfers, endurance, and mobility exercises.
• Follow individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT.
• Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress to the therapy team.
• Reinforce safe movement techniques and therapeutic strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
