Job summary

AccentCare, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team as a PRN provider in the San Diego area. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and serve Lakeside, Alpine, Jamul, Spring Valley, and Santee areas.

You will assess patient needs, implement and modify treatment plans, document progress, and educate patients and families. Travel to multiple locations and flexible scheduling are important for this role.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Must hold active PT license/registration in the applicable state.
• CPR certification required and maintained during employment.
• Valid driver's license; ability to travel to all business locations.
• Ability to educate patients and families on home safety and medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and document treatment per physician orders and agency policy.
• Document interventions, approaches and treatment priorities.
• Educate and counsel patients to promote understanding and adherence.
• Communicate patient status and needs to supervising therapist and team.
• Deliver skilled treatments within agency and payer guidelines; collaborate with team.
• Maintain timely daily notes and required forms to avoid care interruptions.
• Meet productivity standards and participate in meetings and committees.
• Negotiate patient participation and scheduling within approved plans.
