Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Memphis East in Memphis, TN is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our inpatient post-ICU care team. The familiar setting supports PT delivery, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities for patients under PT supervision.

This PRN/Per Diem position emphasizes orientation, potential advancement, and patient-centered recovery. A valid PTA license and BLS are required to begin work in this world-class facility.

Qualifications

• Valid state PTA license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of physical therapy services including exercises and functional activities.
• Transport and assist patients as part of therapy sessions.
• Implement PT plans and programs to meet long-term goals.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics or assistive devices.
