Job summary

AllStar Therapies is seeking a compassionate PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in a skilled nursing setting. This role focuses on helping patients regain mobility, strength, and independence under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Qualified candidates hold a PTA license in the practicing state and have completed an accredited PTA program. SNF experience is preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply, with CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Physical Therapist Assistant license in state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• SNF or rehabilitation experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT treatments under direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents to improve mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and independence.
• Document treatment sessions and resident progress accurately.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to supervising PT.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and mobility strategies.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
• Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and company regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist

• Assist residents in improving mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and functional independence

• Accurately document treatment sessions and resident progress

• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the supervising Physical Therapist

• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and mobility strategies

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care

• Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and company regulations

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of practice

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a collaborative therapy team
