Job summary

You will plan therapy programs, guide residents through exercises and use of devices, and educate residents and families on physical therapy methods. You will also serve as a resource for other therapists, promote teamwork, and ensure progress is documented for the rehabilitative team, while upholding residents' rights and facility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Certification in a specialization, if applicable.
• Organized and detail-oriented in work performance.
• Strong communication skills with patience and self-discipline.
• Genuine care for elderly and disabled residents in a nursing facility.
• Comply with Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan neuromusculoskeletal therapy programs and assess resident progress.
• Administer therapies per physician protocols and apply modalities as indicated.
• Direct and assist residents in exercises, gait, and use of devices.
• Record progress and report to the rehabilitative team.
• Supervise PTAs in accordance with state guidelines.
• Foster teamwork and resident-centered care within the facility.
