Job summary

MUHA Florence is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist for the MUSC Florence location. The role evaluates, administers and directs physical therapy procedures, establishes goals, and reassesses patient progress with documentation.

New graduates are acceptable. Requirements include SC Board Certified/Eligible, a current driver's license, and BLS. This hourly position supports care for patients of all ages with about 8 scheduled hours per week.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• New graduates acceptable.
• South Carolina Board Certified / Eligible.
• Current Driver's License.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, administers and directs administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as prescribed by a referring practitioner.
• Establishes goals of physical therapy and re-assesses patient's progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with documentation.
• Evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments.
• Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them recover.
• May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers.
