Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans seeks a PRN Physical Therapist to guide patients through rehabilitation after neurological conditions, illness, injury, or trauma. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and families to deliver high-quality, coordinated care and to support each patient's progress.

You will assess and treat per each plan of care, document outcomes, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Physical Therapist License with State of Louisiana Physical Therapy Board.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience in a rehabilitation or similar clinical setting (preferred).
• Certifications in Manual Therapy, Dry Needling, Vestibular Rehabilitation, or Women's Health (preferred).
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and manage all aspects of rehabilitation care for patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to align treatment goals and optimize outcomes.
• Deliver therapy services per each patient's individualized plan of care.
• Maintain a safe, supportive environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, progress, and discharge recommendations.
• Communicate significant changes in condition and coordinate care across the team.
• Reassess progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and guidelines.
• Provide direction and support to ancillary staff and foster collaboration.
• Accurately document evaluations, interventions, progress, and outcomes.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and program excellence.
• Perform age-appropriate evaluations and uphold accreditation and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate productivity, billing, and clinical documentation.
• Participate in Quality Management and Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Support compliance with accreditation standards and organizational policies.
• Serve as a clinical resource for colleagues and leadership.
