Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Grosse Pointe is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a PRN/Per Diem role in Detroit. The PT will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and support discharge planning while supervising PT/PTA students and ensuring documentation compliance.

The role requires active Physical Therapist licensure, BLS certification (or completion within 90 days), and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• PRN/Per Diem schedule; no weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Document progress and comply with policies.
• Supervise PTs, PTA students, and staff as needed.
• Assist in discharge planning and patient education.
• Collaborate with the care team to address patient needs.
• Monitor patient response and modify treatment accordingly.
