Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a PRN Physical Therapist to join our network, providing safe and effective therapy across locations including Wheaton and surrounding sites. The role requires evaluating functional performance, selecting goal-directed interventions, and supervising assistants to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation and/or subacute program.
• Maintains an active Illinois therapy license to practice.
• BLS from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes documentation per hospital policy and submits charges in a timely manner.
• Assumes responsibility for a group of patients and provides PT evaluations, modalities and treatments.
• Selects, administers, and adapts patient evaluations according to APTA Standards of Practice.
• Interprets evaluation results to identify patient strengths and functional limitations.
• Establishes functional, objective goals in alignment with patient function and discharge plan.
• Supervises PT assistants and students.
• Maintains productivity and safe treatment areas.
• Documents services, patient responses, and status changes accurately and promptly.
