Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support in-house registry services on a PRN basis across multiple network locations in Illinois, including Wheaton and adjacent areas. The role requires an associate degree, IL licensure, and BLS certification, with a flexible schedule to cover PTO, leave, or gaps in coverage.

Responsibilities include providing PT modalities per treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and collaborating with supervising therapists.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required for PTA licensure in Illinois.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Illinois is required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy modalities and treatments per plan of care.
• Collaborate with supervising physical therapist to determine termination of services.
• Maintain treatment area, equipment, and inventory; manage workload.
• Document all services, patient responses, and changes in status.
• Respect patient confidentiality and comply with policies and safety rules.
