Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services and screen/evaluate patients per plan of care.
• Develop initial and ongoing treatment plans and discharge plans.
• Supervise assistants, PTAs, and rehab techs as appropriate.
• Collaborate with nurses and rehab teams to coordinate care.
• Refer patients to PTAs as needed and provide supervision.
• Supervise PTAs and Rehab Techs per state acts and policies.
• Participate in case management, care conferences, and team activities.
• Advance PT programs and services to improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and patient rights policies.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development.
• Maintain active state licensure and stay updated on practice changes.
• Understand payment models and treatment guidelines for appropriate care.
• Maintain confidentiality of facility and patient information.
• Conduct duties ethically, legally, and professionally.
