Job summary

HealthPRO-Heritage is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Millbrook, NY team. The PTA will provide direct resident care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and support therapy plans designed to improve residents' function and quality of life.

Applicants should be a graduate of an approved PTA program with a current license or eligibility, and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license or eligible for licensure in state of practice.
• Prefer experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions from the Physical Therapist and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT treatments to residents per therapist's plan.
• Assist therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Maintain treatment records and progress notes.
• Assist with admissions screening.
• Participate in rehab team conferences and family/physician communications.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety programs.
