Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures.
• Label, handle, and transport specimens to the laboratory for processing.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen integrity.
• Prepare and process specimens for testing, including centrifugation and aliquoting.
• Prepare and process specimens for send out to reference labs.
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies and inventory.
• Enter patient and specimen data into the LIS.
• Assist laboratory staff with basic tasks.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines.
