Job summary

LCA Lab. Corp. of America in Florida is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections and maintain patient information records. You will provide excellent customer service and handle various specimen collections while working a flexible schedule, primarily on weekends.

Job Overview

Work Schedule

• Every Saturday from 7am to 11:30am
• Monday‑Friday, as needed – variable schedule (no more than 19 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Carry out administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or at least 3 months experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• One year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits

PSTs may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Employees scheduled to work fewer than 20 hours, or in casual, intern, or temporary roles, are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees scheduled to work a 7‑on/7‑off schedule are eligible for all benefits listed above except PTO or FTO.
