Job summary

Labcorp in Pace, FL is hiring a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections across all ages, accurate data entry, and assisting with billing and specimen preparation.

Travel to other sites may occur, with an emphasis on delivering excellent patient service. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ months of phlebotomy experience, and ideally a phlebotomy certification or training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist to qualify.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist is desirable.
• 6 months or more experience as a specimen processor is desirable.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and strong communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs of patient and specimen data.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and staff.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Pace, FL.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday and every other Saturday 6:30AM-3:00PM

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 6 months or more experience as a specimen processor

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
