Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Graduate of a phlebotomy program or equivalent desirable.
• Courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Psychology, and basic computer skills helpful.
• CPR certification required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accept physician orders and perform routine venipuncture and capillary punctures.
• Collect specimen samples from patients of all ages.
• Enter specimen collection information into the laboratory computer system.
• Process samples and perform waived laboratory testing.
• Clean, disinfect laboratory counters and sinks, and stock laboratory supplies.
