Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist in Henderson, TX to perform specimen collection techniques including venipuncture and capillary draws. The role requires completion of an accredited phlebotomy program with clinicals or prior phlebotomy experience, and certification from a recognized agency.

Ideal candidates will have hospital laboratory information system experience and strong customer service skills, with 5+ years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or prior phlebotomy experience.
• Certification from nationally recognized agencies (NHA CPT, ASCP PBT, AMT RPT, NCCT NCPT, ACA CPT) required.
• Hospital lab information system skills and strong customer service skills.
• Experience working in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomist performs specimen collection techniques including venipuncture and capillary draws.
• Performs urine collection instruction and specimen culture collection instruction.
