Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Completion of a phlebotomy training program or 1+ years of specimen collection experience
• Fluent English ability to understand, read, write, and speak

Responsibilities

• Performs blood draws by venipuncture according to standard protocol, ensuring patient safety and quality specimen collection.
• Performs specimen collection using appropriate techniques and providing patients and/or care providers with instructions and materials.
• Provides immediate patient care if post-venipuncture reaction occurs.
• Assists nursing staff when requested and mentors students or new employees as applicable.
• Maintains adequate inventory of supplies and ensures proper labeling and transport of specimens.
