Qualifications

  • Current CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers card upon hire.
  • One year of phlebotomy experience in an acute care hospital is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills is preferred.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers and customers.
  • Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, performing laboratory procedures, and providing excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory techniques, medical terminology, and clinical laboratory procedures.

Duties:

  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients.
  • Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all procedures performed.
  • Follow established protocols and safety guidelines for specimen collection.
  • Ensure patient comfort and provide clear instructions for specimen collection.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CMC Phoenix in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
