Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Lawton, OK. This PRN role involves venipuncture and capillary blood collection across all ages, with duties spanning specimen processing, data entry, and customer service.

Travel to additional sites is required and flexibility is essential. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 1+ year of phlebotomy experience; preferred qualifications include phlebotomy certification or equivalent training and pediatric phlebotomy experience.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Lawton, OK. Work Schedule: PRN, work schedule will vary.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year or more pediatric phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
