Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Oklahoma City, OK team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, prepare specimens, and enter data accurately. You’ll provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced, patient-facing role.

This role supports travel to additional sites, requires a high school diploma, and includes a quarterly incentive bonus program along with comprehensive benefits; prior LabCorp experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital environment.
  • 6 months or more in a behavioral health setting.
  • 1+ years assisting pediatric to geriatric patients.
  • Current LabCorp experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for tests and related analyses.
  • Perform accurate data entry of patient information.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analyze.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to patients.
  • Travel to additional sites as needed.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK (73114)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (additional hours / rotating Saturdays may be requested as needed)

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years’ phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
  • 6 months or more working in a behavioral health setting
  • 1 or more years assisting all patient groups (pediatric – geriatric)
  • Current or prior LabCorp experience
Additional Job Standards
  • In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

This role will work in our client’s office setting to provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
