Job summary

Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician PRN to support pharmacists with dispensing, packaging, and delivery of medications. You will manage ADC routines, process returns, and assist in medication reconciliation and audits in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, current State Board of Pharmacy registration (or intern certificate within 90 days), and strong teamwork, communication and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Current Technician Registration Certificate from the State Board of Pharmacy acquired within 90 days, or current Intern certificate from the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Possess the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Demonstrated competence surrounding pharmaceutical terminology
• Effective decision-making skills and attention to detail
• Ability to perform in a high-stress environment

Responsibilities

• Fill orders by accurately preparing and packaging medications.
• Deliver medications and other pharmacy supplies to nursing units.
• Perform the daily ADC routine (restocks, outdates, discrepancy resolution, loading/unloading) and troubleshoot ADC issues.
• Process medication returns (unused, discontinued, or patient discharge).
• Monitor pharmacy inventory and notify the manager of products to reorder.
• Assist pharmacists in clinical reviews (medication reconciliation, triaging reports).
• Maintain required documentation logs and perform audits (anesthesia, overrides).
